How Much Does a Kids Football Party Cost in Bristol?

What a children's football birthday party costs in Bristol, what's usually included, the extra costs to check, and what a party for the whole class really costs.

A kids football birthday party in Bristol usually costs somewhere between about £110 and £550. The price depends on the type of party, what's included and, most of all, how many children you invite.

Below we explain the main types of football party, what's usually included, the extra costs to check, and what a party for the whole class really costs.

Quick answer

  • Parties priced per child: often from around £11 to £23 a child. That's about £110 to £230 for 10 children, but £260 to £550 for a class of 24.
  • Parties with one price for the whole party: a flat fee, plus hall hire if the venue isn't included.
  • Our inflatable football parties: £220 for the whole party (parties usually have up to 24 children), plus venue hire, which is usually £80 to £100.

The main types of football party

Five-a-side centre parties

Children play matches on five-a-side pitches, usually with a party host, and many packages include food. These parties are normally priced per child, so they're good value for a small group, and the price climbs quickly if you invite the whole class.

Coach-led parties in a hall

A coach runs football games and matches in a hall. You usually pay a flat fee for the coach, plus the cost of the hall.

Inflatable football parties

This is what we do. Our 90-minute parties are held indoors at sports halls and include:

  • three inflatables (football darts, a target goal and an inflatable pitch) plus a speed gun
  • a mini tournament with a referee, run at the same time as the inflatables, so nobody is waiting around
  • three experienced coaches
  • certificates for every child, and a trophy or medal for the birthday child

The price is £220 for the whole party, not per child. Venue hire is extra, usually £80 to £100, and we can book one of our regular halls for you with our discount.

Doing it yourself

Hiring a hall and running the games yourself is the cheapest option on paper. You'll need balls, cones, goals and a plan for keeping 20 excited children busy for an hour and a half, and you won't get to enjoy the party much yourself.

What to ask before you book

  • How long is the party?
  • How many children does the price cover, and what does each extra child cost?
  • How many coaches or hosts will there be?
  • Is the venue included? If not, can they help you book one?
  • Is the party indoors or outdoors?
  • Is food included, or can you bring your own?
  • Are party bags, trophies, medals or certificates included?
  • Will there be enough to do for children who aren't keen footballers?

Extra costs to check

  • Venue hire: if the party isn't at the provider's own site.
  • Food and drink: pizza, squash and snacks soon add up.
  • Party bags and cake.
  • Extra children: on per-child pricing, every extra name on the invite list adds to the bill.
  • Travel: some providers charge more for longer journeys.

Example: a party for the whole class

Most children want to invite their whole class, which is often around 24 children.

  • At £16 a child: 24 children comes to £384.
  • At £22.50 a child: 24 children comes to £540.
  • Our inflatable football party: £220, plus around £80 to £100 for the hall, so about £300 to £320 in total, or roughly £13 a child.

Per-child packages often include food and ours doesn't, so add the cost of food and drink when you compare. Even so, for a big group a flat price usually works out cheaper.

Tips for keeping the cost down

  • If you're inviting the whole class, look for one price for the whole party rather than a price per child.
  • Ask whether the provider can book a hall for you. Many school and community sports halls cost less than you'd expect.
  • Keep food simple: sandwiches, fruit and squash, and the cake at the end.
  • Book early for weekends, especially around school holidays.
